The Secrets of Success

The Secrets of Success

Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. It is brought about by God,a combination of smart habits and a tenacious spirit.

Now we all know God is the giver of all things good hence the word “Favour” when he decides to make one successful he does it any way he likes it which may include blessing your handwork, blessing you through someone, directing your footsteps, bringing helpers your way and helping you to recognize them, etc.
So I will talk about the smart habits and keeping a tenacious spirit which is where I got my topic “secrets of success” from.

Success isn’t about avoiding failure. It’s about learning from failure. This simply means that instead of hiding from failure, successful people anticipate and integrate failure into their lives in ways that transform it from an end into a means.

So what’s the secret? Well there isn’t just one . But I want you to think about this. “Success is the uncommon application of common knowledge” In other words, when it comes to success, what matters isn’t  learning something new but putting into practice what we already know.

Here are the secrets of successful people and I want you to really pay attention here, and if you can, start adopting these lifestyles:

Success starts with answering a fundamental question. What do I really want?

The leader has a clear idea of what he or she wants to do or become- professionally and personally-and the strength to persist in the face of setbacks, even failure.

So here the keyword is “clear” and clarity means writing it down.

In fact two of the most statistically significant factors that set the richest people apart from everyone else is that 81% of them maintain a to-do list, they imagine or see the future they want first and they set plans on how to achieve it by writing it down and taking it one step at a time while 80% focus on accomplishing a specific goal.

Success isn’t about avoiding failure. Its about learning from failure. Take Thomas Edison’s famous quote about inventing the light bulb “I have not failed I’ve found 10,000 ways that won’t work”

What differentiates the success stories from the failures is that the successful people had the foresight, the ability and tools to discover which parts of their plans were working brilliantly and which were misguided, and adapt their strategies accordingly. It is ok to start small but start today, make sure you have something doing no matter how small it may look, please do not sit around crying “oh I want to be successful but nothing seems to be working” meanwhile you are not doing anything.

Successful people are composed because they constantly monitor their emotions, they understand them, and they use this knowledge in the moment to react to challenging situations with self-control. When things go down hill, they are persistently calm and content. They know that no matter how good or bad things get, everything changes with time. All they can do is adapt and adjust to stay happy and in control. This may seem like the hardest but trust me crying and locking yourself indoors has never helped anyone instead it wastes more of your time. You must rise up, dress up, smile and look for another way to try and succeed in that which you think you have failed in.

I know this may seem like the most difficult part, when it seems like you keep failing and failing but trust me If Thomas Edison gave up, we wouldn’t have the light bulb today. If  you have to talk to someone to feel better do so but you must keep going. Don’t let depression win. Decide “it’s either I succeed or I succeed” use people’s success story to challenge yourself!

Fear is nothing more than a lingering emotion fueled by your imagination. It’s the uncomfortable rush of adrenaline you get when you almost step in front of a bus. Fear is a choice. Exceptional people know this better than anyone so they flip fear on its head. Instead of letting fear take over, successful people are addicted to the euphoric feeling of conquering fears.

Be willing to help and assist people at all times.Be willing to take risks.

Know this, there must be obstacles, there must be things and even people that will try to discourage and criticize you.

Do not let the fear of anything or anyone in life stop you from getting where you need to be.

The only one you should fear is God. But you must adopt respect and humility. These two are great virtues and they can project you faster than you think to greatness!

Super-successful people know more than others do because they’re constantly working to increase their self-awareness.They vow constant growth whenever they have a spare moment, they fill it with self education. They just don’t do this because it’s the right thing to do” they do it because it’s their passion. They are always looking for opportunities to improve and new things to learn about themselves and the world around them. Instead of succumbing to their fear of looking stupid, truly exceptional people just ask the questions to their mind, because they would rather learn something new than appear smart.

Ultra-successful people reach decisions by thinking things out, seeking advice from others and sleeping on it.They know that (as studies show) impulsively relying too much on gut instinct is ineffective and misleading. Being able to slow down and logically think things through makes all difference.

Without gratitude, you aren’t being mindful or totally thankful of the good things in life and your perspection is probably skewed to the negative as a result. You might even have less motivation to go after more good things,if you aren’t grateful of the ones you already have.

We tend to think of gratitude as a spontaneous emotion, something that just happens to us in moments of triumph or success. In reality, though, gratitude is something we develop.

How?  By actively looking for reasons to be grateful and by simply saying, “thank you “. When we look for reasons to be grateful and when we make that our intentional focus. When we call attention to those reasons, we cultivate gratitude not only within ourselves but within our relationships and organizations.

We must master the act of gratitude as this can take us on the journey to success faster than we know.

Prayer is a lifestyle we must all adopt, we achieve a lot when on our knees, God reveals and directs our paths when we pray, he shows us the way to go through dreams and revelations. If your prayer life is not good enough, please increase it. That is by far the greatest secret of success.

In general successful people read a lot, they pursue their goals and they don’t wait or rely on anyone, they spend time with people who inspire them, they get rid of stagnating thoughts/ procrastination/distractions.They leave their comfort zone, they are hustlers, explorers and they are consistent !!!
